A friend in need is a friend indeed 

The story :
    Once upon a time there lived two friends in a village. They were very poor. One day they decided to go somewhere to find some work. They set out on a journey.

Their way through a forest. They promised to help each other in time of need. One day they were passing through the forest. Suddenly they saw a bear coming towards them.
     They were much frightened to see the bear. One of them ran and climbed up a tree. The other did no know how to climb up a tree. He was confused. He had heard that the bear does not eat the dead.

So he lay down on the ground and held his breath. The came near him. He sniffed at him from head to foot. He thought him dead and went away.

    When the bear had gone out of sight, the friend on the tree came down. He said to his friend. "What did the bear say in your ear.?" The other man replied.

"The bear advised me not to trust selfish friends." Saying the he left him and went on his way alone.

Moral:  A friend in need is a friend indeed.
